At Bazista, We believe in transparency and care about your privacy and how we treat your personal information. You can control how certain information is used by Bazista. This policy explains our privacy practices for Bazista.com (we’ll refer to Bazista.com as the "Site"), Bazista’s mobile applications (the "Apps"), and our other services provided by Bazista. Bazista requires all account owners or account managers to be at least 18 years of age. Those under 18 years of age and at least 13 years of age can use accounts only if they are managed by a person over 18. No child under the age 13 can use Bazista or the Services.

Information Collected or Received
To use the Services, you will need at minimum to provide a valid email address. We may need additional information depending on the Services that you want to use. This could be information in private channels like Conversations, billing or payment information, a telephone number, and a physical address. This content may need to be accessed by some Bazista personnel from time to time for security and performance reasons.
Other information such as your IP address, browser information, device information, may also be collected to understand your use of the Services for advertising, analytics, to serve appropriate serve as well as to protect the Services,
The name you use for your Bazista account is displayed publicly and linked to your activity. This can be changed in account settings. Your date of joining, ratings, reviews and photos for items you purchased or sold; your public profile information; items you listed for sale; your shop pages and policies; your subscriptions, followers and those you follow; sold item listings and the number of items sold; and comments you post in our community spaces, are all visible to other users. You can choose whether to display your full name and other personal information (such as birthday, gender, and location).
One way connect to the Services is through an external application, and Bazista may receive information from that other service, see below.
Cookies, clear gifs, and log files are used by Bazista for a number of reasons, including how you interact with the Site and the Services, and this helps us to improve your experience with us, and to help develop relevant marketing and advertising messages. The Apps may have third-party mobile analytics services for this reason.

2. What information do we collect?
We need a valid email address to provide you Services. You also need to choose a name which is associated with your account and is your identity on Bazista. This can be reviewed and changed in your account settings. Additional information, such as a shop name, billing and payment information (including billing address, telephone number, credit card information), a telephone number, and/or a physical postal address, may be also be needed for a particular service. This information is not needed at sign up. For example, if you are buying something on the Site, we need a physical postal address for delivery. If you choose to use our payment service as a seller, Bazista may require information such as your social security number, identification ID or tax ID, date of birth, bank account information, credit card information, and/or other proof of identification to check your identity and comply with applicable law. We may need to store credit card information (or arrange for it to be stored) to for both billing and payment purposes. To ensure compliance with our rules and applicable law or to request more information about their shops or items listed Bazista may confidentially contact individual shop owners. You may need complete an application to use certain products or services on Bazista; This will not be displayed publicly and is only for internal use, unless otherwise specified.
You can publicly display your full name and other personal information (such as birthday, gender, location) on your account pages. You can control this in your account settings.
Your account name (which can be changed in account settings), is always shown. Other users can see the date you joined, reviews, ratings, profile information, items listed for sale, shop pages, sold item listings, and comments in community spaces.
When you visit the Site or use the Apps or use certain other Services information from your browser or your mobile device, such as your IP address or unique device identifier, cookies and data about which pages you visit is automatically recorded on log files. This information may be combined with other information we or our partners collect. We need this information to prevent fraud, keep the Services secure, to analyze and understand how the Services work for members and visitors, and to give a more personalized experience for members and visitors.
Device-specific information, such as the hardware model, operating system information, app version, browser information, IP address, and device identifiers is collected when you install, access, or use the Services. You can choose to share your geo-location details with Bazista when using the Apps and use our location-based services - you don't need to share these details unless you choose to publish your location when you sell on Bazista. Other data from your device, such as GPS, wireless networks or cell towers, profile information, or your IP address, may also give us your location information. To provide features and to improve and customize the Services with more relevant content, ads, and recommendations, we may use and store this information. You can revoke your consent to the sharing location information in the Apps settings or on your mobile device. We will only share your geo-location details with third parties to provide you with the Services. You can also allow the Apps to access your mobile device’s camera to upload photographs to Bazista.
Mobile analytics software to allow us to understand the functionality of the Apps on your phone. This may record information on how often you use the Apps, where the Apps were downloaded from, what happens within the Apps, aggregated usage, and performance data. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information that you submit within the mobile application.
You can connect or register your Bazista account using an external third-party application, such as Facebook, or an app developed using the Bazista application programming interface (the "API"). Using third-party applications or services is optional, however connected third-party applications may send data to Bazista. We may use that information when providing the Services to you. You can share some of your activity on Bazista on certain social media networks connected to your Bazista account - you can revoke permission for this anytime in your account settings.
When an unregistered user (non-member) subscribes to a Bazista newsletter, or a member invites a non-member to visit the Site, or a member uploads non-member information using the contact uploader feature, or a non-member engages in a transaction, or a member sends a gift card code to a non-member, information on that non-member (for example, an email address or IP address) may be received by Bazista. This information is only used for the purposes disclosed when it was submitted or to facilitate action authorized by the non-member. Non-members can contact Bazista Support if they do not want their information retained.
3. You’re in Control
Because our community members want control over their own information, we let you choose how and if you will provide certain information (such as your full name) as well how we can contact you, you may change or correct all account information in your account settings.
Bazista may send you messages about the Services or your activity. Service-related messages for members, need to be sent but other messages such as newsletters are optional. You can choose which optional messages you receive in your account settings.
You can change or remove permission to connect your account to an external third-party application, such as Facebook, or an app developed using the API for the app by changing your account settings.
If you don’t want to use the Services or receive service-related messages, then you can close your account.
Bazista may need to contact you occasionally, mainly by email or push notifications. These messages are service-related and necessary for members users. You agree that Bazista can send you non-marketing emails or messages related to transactions, your account, security, or product changes. Examples of service-related messages include an email address confirmation/welcome email when you register your account, notification of an order, service availability, modification of key features or functions, and correspondence with Bazista’s support team. Every account is required to keep a valid email address on file to receive these messages.
Optionally, Bazista can to contact you by telephone SMS message to provide member support or for transaction-related purposes or to give you information about interesting products and features. You can update your contact preferences in account settings.
By default when you register for an account, provide us with your email address or phone number for a Guest Checkout purchase or you subscribe to a newsletter you agree to get marketing emails and messages from us. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time through the opt-out link included in marketing emails or messages.
5. How we share, use and disclose your information
We use your information to provide the Services for billing and payments, for identification and authentication and to expand and improve our products using targeted online and offline marketing, to contact members or interested parties, and for general research and aggregate reporting. So for case resolution, we may use information you provide to resolve disputes with Bazista or other members. We may also learn which products you’re interested in from your browsing and purchasing behavior on the Site or Apps and therefore suggest potential purchases. We might advertise our Services using different mediums, so we may work with advertising partners such as Facebook or Google.
In one of the limited circumstances described in the previous paragraph, if Bazista receives a lawful, verified request for a member’s records or information, we may disclose personal information, including, but not be limited to, a member’s name, address, phone number, email address, and company name. Bazista works closely with and is affiliated to variety of businesses for a variety of purposes, including helping perform and improve the Services. These businesses may offer promotions (including email promotions) or sell items or services to you through the Services with your consent and Bazista may also jointly provide services or sell products with these businesses. We may need to share information related to transactions where an affiliated business assists in facilitating your transaction.
Bazista may share demographic information with business partners, but personally-identifiable information is not revealed as it will always be aggregated and de-personalized.
Bazista also uses third-party companies and individuals (such as payment processors, research companies, and analytics and security providers) to help operate and provide the Services. They have only limited access to your information and only to perform these tasks on our behalf.
Bazista can buy or sell assets where necessary and in our legitimate interests. In these transactions: sale, merger, liquidation, receivership, or transfer of all or substantially all of Bazista’s assets member information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. If such a transfer is intended, Bazista will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the Site and the App, and you can opt out before information about you moves to a third party.
This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Bazista does not own or control. Different practices may apply to the use or disclosure of the information that you provide to others. Bazista does not control the privacy policies of third parties.
6. Data transfers
There are different laws in the United States, European Economic Area (“EEA”) Member States, and other countries. Laws and rules that protect your personal information in the country to which your information is transferred may be different from those in the country in which you live, such as how law enforcement can access personal information, especially if your data is in the US, where it may be accessed by government authorities in accordance with US law.
Where Bazista is deemed to transfer personal information outside of the EEA, we rely separately, alternatively, and independently on the following legal bases for this transfer:
The European Commission has adopted standard data protection clauses (also known as Model Clauses) which provide safeguards for personal information transferred outside the EU. 7. Legitimate Interests
Bazista relies on several legitimate interests in using and sharing your personal information. These interests include:
- Customizing and improving the Services for our community;
- Understanding how the Services are being used including usage patterns;
- Looking for ways to develop and grow our business;
- Guarding the safety and security of the Services;
- Protecting our members against spam, harassment, IP infringement, crime, and all kind of security risks.
8. Information security
We care about the safety of your information, and follow generally accepted standards to protect it during transmission and after it is received. Your password protects your account information and you should choose your password carefully and keep it and your computer secure. We recommend signing out after using the Services. While we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information during transmission and after it is received, sadly no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we do everything we can to protect your personal information, we cannot absolutely guarantee its security. There are optional advanced security settings such as two-factor authentication for signing in, full-site SSL, and login history for members which can be enabled in account settings.
9. Retention of your Data
Your information will be kept only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or while your account is active (i.e., for the lifetime of your Bazista member account), or as needed to provide the Services to you., You may close your account if you no longer want Bazista to use your information to provide the Services to you. Your information will be retained and used only to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations such as to comply with applicable tax/revenue laws, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Bazista sellers may also be required to retain and use your information to comply with their legal obligations. Closure of your account may not free up your email address, username, or shop name (if any) for reuse by a new account. We also retain log files for internal analysis purposes. Generally we only retain these for a brief time, except in cases where needed for site safety and security, site functionality.
10. Your Rights
Your Bazista account settings let you manage, change, limit, or delete your personal information. If requested, Bazista will provide you with information about what personal information we hold about you. In certain cases, you may also have a right to restrict or limit the ways in which we use your personal information., You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information, to request the deletion of your personal information, and to obtain a copy of your personal information in certain circumstances. 11. How to Withdraw Consent
You can withdraw your consent to our processing of your information and your use of the Services at any time by closing your account through your account settings and emailing [email protected] to request deletion of your personal information.
If you withdraw your consent you may not be able to access or use all (or any) of the Services. If we have a legal basis to do so we may need to continue to process your information after you have withdrawn consent and requested deletion of your information, For example to comply with an independent legal obligation, or if it is legitimately necessary for keeping the Services safe and secure.
This policy may be amended from time to time. If we believe that the changes are material we will do one (or more) of the following: (1) post the changes on Site (2) send you an email or message about the changes. You will have the opportunity to consent to these changes, so you can decide whether you want to continue using the Services. Changes will be effective upon the posting of the changes.
